This painting was inspired by a cluster of Gabera flowers I saw in a flower bed in the Central Area part of the city. The sun was in the middle of the sky and they caught and held the light firmly that they appeared really solid and colourful. Other buds were sprouting on the plant and I was touched by the mere concept of regeneration after death and decay. That though led to the creation of the collection.
